Help for PhotoVox on your phone.

Quick answers for opening the app, browser permissions, local backups, transcription status, current updates, and the public website/app domain split.

Open the app

The app opens at https://app.photovox.app/. Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android for the most predictable phone experience.

The support basics.

Camera or microphone is blocked

Check browser site permissions for app.photovox.app. On iPhone, Safari permissions live in iOS Settings. On Android, Chrome permissions are available from the lock icon or site settings.

Back up before clearing data

PhotoVox is local-first by default. Export a backup before troubleshooting, clearing browser data, switching browsers, changing devices, or deleting local app data.

Signing in does not sync notes

Email/password, email sign-in links, and Google sign-in may be available where configured. Signing in does not upload, download, merge, delete, or sync local notes. Sync is planned as a gated Tier 3 / Professional feature.

Password reset email not received

Check spam, junk, promotions, and quarantine folders before requesting another reset email. Avoid repeated requests in a short window. PhotoVox may use a configured auth email provider for reset and sign-in emails.

Transcription status

When transcription is configured and enabled, recordings can become editable, searchable text. If cloud/API transcription is used, PhotoVox asks for consent before audio leaves your device for processing. If transcription fails, the original audio should remain attached.

Website boundary

The public website is www.photovox.app. The app is app.photovox.app. Support, privacy, and terms live here; app capture happens on the app target.
